Hi, What do you all think of this 1913 Buffalo? It's got some patina, discoloration, or whatever the appropriate term is, but it seems to still have a lot of detail. I'm curious as to how it would grade and what you all think it's worth.

Close call. Certainly VF but XF would be a close call.

Looks like a VF-35 Type 1 . A little dirty looking . Try an acetone soak and see if any of that dirt comes off . Do not clean the coin with anything . You have some value there, maybe $20 .

Glad to hear. I paid less than $17 or $18, so glad to hear the positive comments.

Sharp full horn, split tail - I'll say EF-45. to the CCF!

Sharp looking coin for a 1913 and I agree with "Coinfrog"

good detail in the hair. the hair band is defined, full horn partially split tail and the back fur very well defined in separation from the body. technically AU50 but I have to knock it to XF45 for the eye appeal. still a decent coin. $20 range

Sorry IGE ,But because of the lack of eye appeal , I would not pay AU-50 money for that Nickel . JMHO .

Full split tail, razor sharp horn, AU-50 for wear, eye appeal is another story. With better eye appeal and luster this coin could grade two grades higher.
