NGC - NGC recently certified more than 2,000 Conder tokens collected by Jeff Garrett, renowned rare coin dealer and former president of the ANA. For Garrett, collecting Conder tokens has been a nearly lifelong pursuit.
I always cringe when I see the letter 'P' used for penny when the piece is clearly pre-decimal. Prior to decimalisation the abbreviation for penny was 'D'. As someone old enough to remember decimalisation on 14 February 1971, I recall how 240d was replaced by 100p. The 'p', or sometimes 'np', was emphasised to show you were talking about the new-fangled money. That's fifty years ago next year!
