Hi,

Just got my first Peace dollar and thought it would be fun to identify what VAM it is.
The reverse has some clashmarks and a rather big diecrack or diechip on the rays so I thought it would be easy finding this on on VAM-World. It was not... but that could just be me doing it wrong

Since I haven´t found the diecrack/chip on VAM-World, should I ignore it when trying to ID the VAM and just go looking for the clashmarks and asume the rest is from a late diestate?

VAM-2U1 is the closest I get.
Any expert that can verify my thoughts?

Just noticed that there also seems to be a chip/break above the eagles left shoulder?

I would be very thankfull if anyone could point me in the direction were I should start for ID this VAM.

As I said earlier I have not found the diechip on VAM-world and I have not found a clashmark above eagles right shoulder that I think is a 100% match. But maybe I need to get better close-ups to confirm if it is a match or not.

There is also a raised horizontal line under E in LIBERTY between the two long spikes, close to the short Spike. But maybe that is part of the design?

Clashes in general will not qualify for a VAM listing. The die chip appears to be PMD to me.
I'd call it a (generic) VAM1

Thank you för the respond. So if clashes is not the way to ID a VAM, what would I look for then?

The diechip is raised, how could that be a PSD?
