Found this at a recent coin show. Seller told me it came out of a broken up '83 souvenir set. Your thoughts on grade for this coin are much appreciated!

Oh great , I would have to be the first one on this . The coin is drop dead gorgeous but what the heck is going on with the steps ? I know that Some Jefferson nickels have wavy steps but not Lincolns .
Will give a grade when those steps are explained .

The first two photos appear to be softened quite a bit--low(er) resolution JPEGs. Posting higher resolution images would help (staying under the size limit per/image for this blag). The steps do look somewhat nicked--the soft, lower res JPEG makes it difficult to determine.

Off-the-top-of-my-head, I'd go with a tentative MS65. Nice coin.

Looks like possibly one small tick below the bow tie. I'd have to say MS-66RD if not better.

Not quite sure what's going on with the strike on the reverse. Here's a better resolution image of the reverse minus the softening issue mentioned.

I was thinking along the lines of MS67. Picked for $3

Beautiful coin. I'll say MS67, 68 if it didn't have the marks on the reverse.

That's exactly how I feel about it, CherryPicker. After looking at the obverse it had me seriously wondering about "top pop". Back to the search...

Great coin! Obverse strike weakness but hardly a hit. Gas bubbles not too bad which is the major problem with these.
