Sorry for the bad pictures I posted in this thread yesterday, I thought I'd scan them in.

Btw, how much rarer is it to have the letters in the serial number match up along with the numbers?

Thanks guys!

Unsure of your question. Serial numbers on US notes are printed twice on the face of the note. Is that what you're referring to?

to the CCF!

I think they meant that if you include the letters in a radar, it is still a radar eg A01233210A as opposed to A01233210B.

Yes sorry I wasn't specific. I was referring to the C in the radar serial number matching the Seal letter.

I'm not sure you can come up with a general answer that applies to all series of US currency for this question. I think you really have to ask it in reference to a particular series where you can determine what the prefixes and suffixes are for the series.

Take for example your series 63A $1 FRB note. Philadelphia notes went from CA block to CD block, so you can have CA, CB,CC and CD block radars. OTOH you can't have any HH, II, JJ, KK, LL radars because notes weren't printed to those high of blocks for the series.

Again looking at your 63A $1 FRB note, since there are CA, CB, CC and CD radars, about 1/4 of them would be CC block (actually it's a bit more because the CD block didn't print all the way to serial C96000000D).

Having the prefix and suffix letter match is secondary to me on radar notes. It's cool when they match but it really doesn't matter to me.
