I heard that the new redesigned 20p has the obverse changed and the date added. I can't find any pictures of the obverse on the Internetz, so can one of our British friends post a pic?

I have yet to find any 2008 20 pence coins in change yet. Just the 1 pence, 2 pence, 5 pence, and 10 pence coins.

Best place to find pictures of all of the new designs is The Royal Mint web site. http://www.royalmint.com/PackedSets/UKF8BUS.aspx

Date has been moved from the reverse to the observe and the value is written in words now.

The 1 pence, 2 pence, 5 pence, 10 pence, 20 pence, and 50 pence reverses go together to make the design which is reverse on the 1 pound coin.

Thanks, but I know how the reverse looks, but I'm more interested in what the obverse (especially of the 20p) looks like.

So, anyone who gets one, please post its pic! Thanks!

From my proof set.
None in change thus far.

New-20-P

The obverse of the 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 50p and £1 have also changed in that all but the 50p have had the dots around the edge removed (The 50p never had any) and the 50p shape has rotated 180 degrees.

ooooohhhhhhh...

That's what it actually looks like. I thought it would had the date added in the lower field (like directly under the Queen's neck)

Thanks!
