It is 34mm in diameter. As usual, any thoughts regarding attribution, age, rarity, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone might know the meaning of the characters on the reverse and / or if it is Japanese, Chinese, Korean, other? it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.

From the characters on the back I'd say Korean.

Between the writing on the back and the star behind the soldier I kind of thought maybe North Korean so I did a quick search and found this.
