paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 03/30/2020 9:50 pm 5.8 is heavy on the upper end of tolerance but not outrageous. Given the billion+ 1965 quarters minted (from late 1964 through early 1966) I can't imagine anyone would bother making a counterfeit. I weighed a random 1965 quarter (actually cracked out from an SMS holder and in my Dansco) and got 5.7 grams on my cheap little digital scale. Given the fact that most inexpensive scales can't reliably measure less than 1g increments, especially not 0.1g, I wouldn't be too worried.
