Hello!
I bough this coin https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces20870.html

Weigh is ok, diameter is ok, thickness is 0,75-0,8mm ( I donīt know what is original)
Looks good and also edge looks genuine. ,,Ring test,, is also ok I guess. Non magnetic.

Till here I didnīt have any problem, but when I tried diamagnetic test, the neodym.magnet just slide down without any resistance. Its 2mm diameter small neodym.magnet.

If I tried the same test with 1964 US silver ,,one dime,, there is nicely visible the resistance and slow motion of sliding.
Also my 5 gram gold bar in plastic cover doing the same.

What do you think? Possibility of counterfeit?
Coin is not rare - almost price of pure gold in the coin and is bought in numismatic store.

Can be no-reaction based on thicknes or on purity of gold? - 0.900

Is it normal with other types of small gold coins?

Is here some other test fot it?

Thank you and have a nice day!

the only other tests, that are non-destructive are XRF however only measure/detects the surface, some very expensive scales are good enough to give SI.

Is the slow motion of neodymagnet necessary in case of .900 gold?
