1944 Nickel With Multiple Strike Throughs?

Ningcumpoop Valued Member Canada 220 Posts	Posted 04/01/2020 9:50 pm Hey everyone, I came across this nickel today. There is definitely one strike through...maybe a wire or similar object but what's going on with the missing legend? It doesn't make sense to be a strike through as it is on both sides. The AD of Canada is caved in and still plated which suggests to me the planchet was incomplete. The coin weighs 4.38g which is average for this stage of wear though. Any Ideas? Amazing that an error this large, was well circulated.
