Likely of the Roman Imperial period, so the obverse would depict a Roman Emperor. From the Roman provinces. The planchet of the coin with its slight concave character makes it more likely to be from either Asia Minor or Syria/Phoenecia. The reverse looks to show "Tyche" holding a ship rudder with her right hand.

My guess would be Fortuna standing, holding rudder and cornucopiae for the reverse. So it can be either one of these coins, maybe Galba or Vespasian:

At 7+ grams I think it is too heavy to be either of those Denarii shown in that link.
