Can anyone tell me if I'm crazy or is this a 1971 doubled die quarter please?

To CCF! I'm sorry, but I am seeing nothing. There's no Doubled Die.

Can you post it right-side-up and try to take a clearer photo? It's pretty hard to see. The DDR listed on variety vista for the 1971 is pretty major, though, so I think this probably isn't it, as it would likely be visible even in this photo.

On a DDR, the devices will be enlarged. When they are normal size, it is not showing hub doubling. Here is a great pair of images to learn from.
Can you tell a difference between these two images?

Now take another look at your coin. Note the devices are the same size as the normal example. Seeing stuff side by side will help you to tell normal/enlarged/reduced size of devices. Little clue like the insides iof devices:

There are two DDOs and one normal coin. Can you spot the differences?

Same coins, but different areas on the coins.
Seeing coins side by side allows you tell detail differences:

Create images as side by sides allows you see see exactly how they are same or different.

It allows your eye to focus without trying to remember when you move you eyes from one place to another. You don't loose perspective that way.
