Going through my Dad's hoard again.

Found this 1964 P Washington quarter.
Thought I'd share

Is this a common Washington quarter error, a die chip under the nose?

Nice die chip!

Whether it is common or not, I do not know. I'll leave that to the others that focus on this.

Lincoln cents are my specialty, not Washington quarters I'm afraid.

You called it right. Die chip. Cool to look at but does not add a premium to your coin. Also the condition would detract if it did add value.
