I found this cent with a minor die clash of the memorial columns on the obverse, so I flipped it around to check for more significant clashing on the reverse. Instead I found a raised area in the rightmost bay - a part of the coin that shouldn't be involved in any potential clash. It almost looks like a piece has "broken off" the column, but I don't see how that can be since that design element is raised rather than incuse. Any thoughts?
