1922 D/Weak D Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC Die Variety?

Ty2020b Pillar of the Community United States 4680 Posts	Posted 04/09/2020 10:01 am Hi All! Had this one in the collection for awhile and an older thread sparked my interest. Curious as to thoughts on this one. It shows characteristics of Die pair #2 ( but obviously it has a D mint Mark). Clear LIBERTY, rest starting to look a little mushy, L running into the rim, nice, strong reverse. Second two isn't showing much sharper than first, but at the same time, the die wouldn't have been as polished at this point to get there. Coin obviously brown but has nice luster, especially on reverse that I can't get in the pics. On that note, would you just consider this a 1922 D, or if you would consider it a Weak D, which pair? All weak D die pairs show a weak reverse Report this Post to the Staff
