I keep seeing posts about said quarter not having any known mint errors online. But I have one with quite a few things wrong with it. For example, there's what appears to be, a shadowing on the bottom of the quarter. On the backside, where leaves would be, it's solid. And the edge of the quarter is smooth. I've seen slot machines cause this one though. I'm just curious if it's an error or a roughly used quarter.
Color is not part of the strike for a mint error. Stains are picked up from coin contamination with a substance. (not a mint error) Damage to the coin in circulation is not a mint error. Damage reduces coins to just face value.
