Hello Token Coin Community, I have a few tokens that I have inherited, many are from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area from old bars, car washes, and arcades. I have a few questions about this. 1) Is there a market for Bar, Car Wash, and Arcade Tokens? 2) Would I have more success selling them locally or online? 3) Is there more value in tokens that have a town name on it? ---> I have seen a few old tokens from Wisconsin bars that have gone for $100+ on ebay. Thank you for reading, I'm looking forward to your feedback. -Ryan

1) Is there a market for Bar, Car Wash, and Arcade Tokens? yes and no the buyers for older tokens is shrinking, They are dyeing off. the prices aren't what they use to be. Bar tokens generally bring anywhere from a dollar to $10.00 depending on condition and if it is famous, Car Wash tokens generally go from the bargain bin .25¢ 50% off to $1.00/$2.00, same with arcade tokens very few bring more than $1.00/$2.00 2) Would I have more success selling them locally or online? Yes some one locally, might be willing to pay a little more if they know of it or have memories of it. 3) Is there more value in tokens that have a town name on it? again see #2 ---> I have seen a few old tokens from Wisconsin bars that have gone for $100+ on ebay. On the bay you have to understand the seller my be BS's, and operate on its old so it is worth more. along with buyers tend not to know as much as the sellers. Take them to a local coin shop and see if they are interested in them and what they would pay. Remember they buyer at 50% of retail in most cases. you always can say no thqank you and walk away.

I'm going to post some pictures of tokens that I have in this thread. If any are of value, I'd love to hear your feedback on them.

The transit token not much since they were made in abundance, Minn around 1925 listed in 5th edition of Atwood/coffee $1.00 K.B.&C is a coal scrip token out ot Cambria Wyoming and probably has the most potential value http://nationalscripcollectors.org/The Pontiac give away advertising token was quite common and given out along with the other brand from GM, Recently picked up two in a bulk buy. The car wash tokens some are generic styles and some are the wash equipment suppliers generic not much value. The first one is still currently being sold today . The letters and numbers can be either arcade, prize or vending tokens. Since they were sold to be used at point of purchase. The people using them knew what they ment. again not a lot of value. President one in that condition and being out of a set of presidential medals bargain box material. The LLama one was a zipper pull on a coat made from the wool, one of those came in the same bulk buy as the Pontiac tokens I picked up.
