The date is actually AH1223, Regnal year 28 (aping the Cedid Mahmudiye Series). What is it's weight and diameter? Brass or gilded jewellery pieces (which are copies of Ottoman gold coins of this type) are very common and this looks like one of those from the colour.

I agree with @Bacchus.

It bears a resemblance to coins of this type:

However, the flowers do not appear to be located correctly (I could not find a type with a flower located directly below the date), and the embellishment just inside the rim is not correct, there is no beaded circle, etc.

The other option is that it a slightly different type that is less easily found in standard catalogs.

Coins from this era with holes are very common, and not worth very much.

My mistake ... I missed upthread that you said it might be gold.
Here is a close match. If your item is the correct size (13 mm) and weight (0.4 g ... very small), maybe it is a genuine coin after all
