crusherjc Valued Member United States 139 Posts	Posted 04/12/2020 10:38 pm Hi, Have been collecting silver maple leafs with privy marks for a while, and am wondering if two "series" have come to an end. I did not see a " ANA" show SML, or a "zodiac" SML issued last year. Wish RCM would provide more info on there privy coins. Anyone know anything on them? Thanks, Jim Report this Post to the Staff

commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12251 Posts	Posted 04/17/2020 5:16 pm I haven't seen an ANA privy SML for 2019, so that series may have ended or is at least on hiatus after its 2014-2018 run. As far as the lunar series...the 2018 Dog privy SML completed the 12-year cycle of lunar privy-marked coins (it started in 2007 with the Pig privy). As most privy-marked SMLs are struck under private contract, the RCM may not have been able to secure a sponsor for a new cycle. It could start up again in the future if sponsorship is secured, however, but it seems most likely that 2019 (at least) will be skipped. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. Then they skipped 2010 and 2011, and the second lunar series started in 2012. not sure why they would have stopped it before it should have completed in 2023. The only 2019 SML's with privy marks that I know of is the phonograph and f15 privy marks. I hope they do a couple for 2020. I love the privy mark coins. Id also like to see privy marks again on the gold maple leafs. Last one one the gold maple leaf that I know of is the 2015 e=mc2. Report this Post to the Staff
