You may wish to check it for dime planchet weight. It appears that it may have been rubbed with mercury some time (months or years) ago.

OK, I'll bite, since you haven't offered any info. What makes you think it's on a dime planchet? What is the size (diameter)? Weight?

Not needed now. A dime weighs 2.268 grams, and regular cent for 1993 is 2.5 grams. Mystery solved. It's not on a dime planchet, it doesn't weigh enough.
