I found a 1998 Wide AM while searching cent rolls today and as I put it aside I thought about the different posts I've read here lately about how hard these are to find. I've been roll searching for quite a few years now so I decided to go thru my 2x2 flips to see how many I have. Here is the results:

1998 wide AM-10 pieces
1999 wide AM- 2 pieces
2000 wide AM- 12 pieces

Apparently central PA is a hot spot or I'm just lucky with these. It doesn't matter to me, hot spot or luck, I'll take either. It's the 1992 Close AM's that still elude me. They certainly are the rarest.

East coast definitely has the advantage. I'm a little behind on the 2000s though.
1998 = 12
1999 = 1
2000 = 4

No problems here Charles, Raleigh N.C.

Wow...that's very nice!
I have two 1998 wide AMs I got from one $25 box--shipped by a friend from MD (I live in CA).

I've been through about $5 in face from local banks (Bradenton/Sarasota Florida) and have found three 2000 examples and one 1998 example.

Perhaps this would be something good to publish on coppercoins.com so we can get a good head-count on what to expect from different parts of the country.

Let's keep reporting them here - just where you live and how many of each you have found - and give me permission to report the finds, and I'll tally them up and stick them on coppercoins.com
Rest in Peace

About 100 miles south of Philly on the peninsula that includes Delaware, Maryland and Va. Also know as the "Eastern Shore" where we have bumper stickers that say " There is no life west of the Chesapeake Bay".

1998 - 10
1999 - 0
2000 - 14

I have also given a couple away but am not sure of the count so did not try to include.
