I've decided to broaden my horizons again and move away from proofs for a little bit and try my luck at putting together a Barber quarter album with the key coins slabbed to the side....nothing to fancy VG to VF and sometimes G. I picked this one up today to get me going. Now to get an album!

Nice example, correctly graded. Most surprised at your new collecting interest! Tell us about your grade targets as you assemble this set.

Thanks Coinfrog. I was looking at a couple dozen 1914-s quarters today on ebay and other coin sites and saw to my dismay quite a few that were over graded.

That tends to be. Circulated barbers from my observations tend to be the most inaccurately graded either up or down. It's a buyer be informed market, don't buy the slab thing. Barber quarters are fun. I'd say stick to the F-12-VF-30 range for anything except the rarities. Some of the common ones are pretty cheap up to and including AU. I look forward to watching this set come together!

I bought this from an online group from a person I've been doing business with for a few years.....I don't have the album yet...and his was reasonably priced and looked nice in hand, but I still want the physical album.

Congrats especially on the '14-S, looks original and correctly graded. This tough date is hard to find above Good and the price escalates rapidly above that level. Still looking for a nice one for my collection.....
