The OP switched the photo from a large date to a small date. Why? Let me guess: Honest mistake?

The new photo is a small date zinc coin... you can see the gray zinc on Lincoln's head popping through the surface. This is not a small date copper.

No value over face.

The picture now shows an 82 D small date, but it appears to have plating bubbles which would make it a plated zinc. If this actually weighs 3.1 grams could you show an image of this coin on a scale showing the weight.

Sandman I would say in my lowly opinion and I mean LOW but....if when you drop the pennies and it makes a ringing noise vs. A clunk and it truly weighs 3.1 grams I'd say it's worth sending in just to make sure I wouldnt throw it out until you know definitively
