I found this wheaty coin roll hunting about 2 months ago. It seems to be in pretty good condition but I have my questions about its authenticity. Any input from the forum would be great.

... to the Community!

Your pictured coin looks counterfeit to me. The date and mintmark positioning are way off.

The "O" on ONE on the reverse looks a little strange. IMO

Thats what I was thinking too. Too many things wrong with this coin. I had a sliver of hope that maybe it was real. Oh well, onto the next roll. Thanks everyone.

Rims are sharp frankly too sharp and doubled/wire rimmed. Coin has most of its mint luster, central devises are weak and mushy with maybe VF detail. By now red lights should be flashing, claxons and sirens sounding.

The rims are the first giveaway. This is a heavily counterfeited coin in general, and this looks to be one of them, sorry.

Thanks T-Bop for pointing out the incorrect angle of the date. A sure sign of it being fake.

In general, it looked fake to me also and that date was the easy clincher.
