1943 Steel Penny VDB And 9 Under The R In America On Reverse.

This is a 1943 Steel Penny that I got from an auction on ebay of 1000 pennies. cost me 10x face value to buy them from a man claiming to be 85 years old. It has what appears to be the VDB and on the reverse has what looks like maybe a 9? under the R in AMERICA. * Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

Fuzzy317 Moderator United States 14463 Posts	Posted 04/26/2020 4:32 pm The initials VDB were on part of the 1909 Cents on the reverse. It wasn't added back until 1918 and then on Lincoln's shoulder on the obverse. Die polishing may cause them to be less obvious. Report this Post to the Staff
