Hi All,

Is this a corrosion? The shows no signs of it but the obverse do!

Do I have to remove it from the 2x2, and if so what should I do?
Use acetone, only distilled water....?!!

Would appreciate any help

Thanks

It indeed looks like some kind of raised material.
I would be surprised if that were corrosion because there's little sign elsewhere.
More likely it's some kind of dirt or glue. I'd try soaking in acetone overnight--it won't hurt the silver.
There might be other good opinions, but that looks like a safe bet--good luck!
