It is possible that some PMD to the base of the bust has worn away the outer clad layer to reveal the copper center. If so, kind of cool, but not a mint error, and not worth more than face. All clad quarters are made of a copper sandwich with nickel on either side and copper in the middle. Nothing unusual here. Report this Post to the Staff
