The central DDRs, are found on the single squeeze dies. This is a pre single squeeze die. So I feel it isn't a DDR. Is the affected area raised or incuse? The location is to far away to be a clash. If raised, it maybe dies damage? If incuse, it maybe damage. So it depends on your answer as to what you see on the coin.

There are some though, right Coop? As I recall 1972 D and 1981 P both have doubling on the memorial ceiling.

But not like the what I call 'bar' cents. They are vertical. These are found on the single squeeze dies. Even some of these show doubling horizontal from the steps. The doubled columns on the 90's cents are vertical. But tend to be parallel to the columns. Die scratches, die gouges, die clashes and Feeder Finger Damage tend to be at an angle. Thus my questions about raised or incuse. But note that area again? I see a contact mark on the cornice at the same angle as that mark. On the tops of the bays I see die scratches taller than this are. So I'm still leaning towards a contact mark on the bay area. That would seem more reasonable. A single line is not a doubled die.
