2000 P LMC The Bottom Of The Lobe Is A Curiosity.

I found this 2000 P LMC quite some time ago and kept it. The ear at about the middle of the lobe appears to have taken a hit but I don't think that it would have made what I'm seeing. Thoughts?

Are you referring to tiny piece of metal poking out right beneath the earlobe?

Looks rather similar to one of the topics I posted recently.

Maybe PMD? If a tad bit of metal just slightly got pushed upwards, to a point where it was so insignificant that you couldn't tell.

Or part of a die scratch that made that area rise on coins now struck with that die.

Definitely not saying that it is a DDO even tho it has the look of doubling.

It it doesn't look like the design, then it is not hub doubling.

That's the thing coop, it actually does. It isn't showing quite like the Shield cent doubled ears but it look like an offshoot of the bottom of the lobe. Guess I'll just put it in a 2x2.
