Poor Lincoln, rather curious what type of PMD would cause this.

First looks like it's been cleaned harshly, then it looks as if Abe got his head smashed in, then...the plating is coming off somehow?

Jeez, what damage do you think did this?

Indeed, the poor thing. I'm kind of tempted to remove all the plating, so only the zinc core is left. Would be kinda neat.

I'm thinking the same thing Coinfrog, don't know how something like this could get so destroyed unless it was in a freak accident, or, as you said, done deliberately.
