I see a coin that looks a little different but then turns out looks the same. I want to make sure the coin looks the way it was meant to look and not be wrong. This is why id like to be able to compare it to tell difference from error or normal.

The best and cheapest way is to compare coins side by side under 10X magnification. Lots of experience helps, in knowing what to look for.

No-one can be experienced right off the top.

Buy all relevant literature on your subject that you can.
A coin dealer may be able to help you with the specialist literature, and where to buy it.

If your interest lies in US coins, check out the PCGS CoinFacts site. It is an online reference tool that includes lots of great year-by-year coin images.

For world coins, I would look for a high grade slabbed example, on a website like CoinArchives or even ebay to use as a reference..

Though it's not completely clear what you are asking. If you want to compare a possible error coin to a known example of the error, then I think that's a different kettle of fish.
