Looks like I found a good place for me to start learning about coin collecting,
I'm Snarl36 and just started collecting coins this week, I am from Montreal Canada. Ordered my first one ounce silver maple leaf and my first 1/20 ounce gold maple leaf. I cant wait for them to arrive in the coming few days!
My first question is I'm looking for some recommendations on some reputable vendors in Canada I can shop online?
I would think any official RCM dealer would have to reputable. Otherwise colonial acres (kitchener or ebay), Capital coins and currency (Ottawa or ebay),Gatewest coin (Winnipeg or ebay)or Carsley Whetstone /Carsleys in Montreal (I think they use a different name POSSIBLY northern giant)...to name just a few, there are many others. Of course the trade off from going to dealer rather than ebay is certainty, seeing the coins in 'hand' and the education versus a possibly higher price. Visiting a local coin show /meeting with other local hobbyists is probably going to give you the best insight
