Well got a 20% off offer on this one and bit. She grades normal with ICG I do not have it in hand but can not wait . Hoping her luster is as good as I hope and looks better in hand like the 82 O/S I just got Hard to see the clashes in the picture but apparently the fully clashed E is unbelievable the seller says. We will see Will post more pics when I have it in hand Edited by JasonKflo 05/07/2020 10:02 pm

This one looks AU-58 to me. Nice slider.

since the 86(O) is typically weak this one is a little better than that so AVG+ for strike. I don't like the lighting on this one as the glare can be hiding things. without better photos i'd be at AU58 or MS63. leaning MS

I played with the photos a bit. When I adjusted the lighting, contrast, color, and clarity, I was able to get a better feel for this coin. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the appearance. The 1886-O is a condition scarcity and this one is rock solid at least as a slider. I'm not convinced this isn't MS. The clash marks are something.
Looking forward to your pics!

Slider. I think AU-58 is a fair grade given the luster breaks at points where we'd expect to see wear. MS-62 would be a fair grade as well, but I wouldn't touch this at 63 prices.

Am thinking of resubmitting this to PCGS to see if it will grade at AU-58 there. Any thoughts on that ?

With luster breaks on the high points you'll probably still end up at AU-58. Could be worth the gamble though.

I think with the better than average strike for this year it has a shot at 58 but it really lacks the luster I like to see on a 58. your second set of photos may show a market acceptable dip and if you look at about 8-10 oclock on the obverse going from the rim to mid profile you will some striations that may have been from a wipe. hope she comes back straight. good luck

oh yeah she is not cleaned at all and does not looked dipped or whipped. Has full luster nice cartwheel affect as well. The photos are not coming out well but very much a nice straight coin. I just question since she is graded 58 ICG is it worth sending to PCGS to try and get the same grade . I can always check the box not reslab if they don't give it a 58, I am sure they probably grade harder for crossovers.
