Thanks for the kind words! I've been skimming the board a bit but haven't sat down much the last couple days.
While I get coins from a lot of different sources, in general most of my finds are not from rolls I get at the bank. I search those quite a bit when I'm working during my down time, but I find it better to look for collections and buy those. I end up with a lot of stuff I don't want in the process, but anyone with a lot of pennies to sell is happy to find someone who will buy them.
And I've been to the Philly mint, and enjoyed the self-guided tour. Although the "error" coin on display near the end was something like a minor die crack on the upper left of the shield of a modern
Lincoln Cent, and given the amazing errors that have come out of that mint, I found that disappointing. If I end up going back I would prefer it on a more intimate tour of the workings, just never looked into whether that can be set up or not.
Tonight's project is a small bag of older circulated wheats, and after 150 coins am batting a perfect 0.000 for anything interesting at all. Some nights are better than others.
