Hello all. Going through my old collection with the intent on dispersing it, and I've noticed on my 1907 25 piece that the front and back are struck up/down, which is different than the other coins around that year. Anyone have one that they can check this orientation. Where would be the best source to confirm the intended mint strike?

If this is a Canadian quarter then the Die Axis is correct on your coin for that year.

I'm going to assume that its Canadian. If so, then 1907 was the last year for an "up/down" orientation. 1908 changed to an "up/up" orientation.

Anyone else going to check every coin they own for orientation? Maybe I'll find an abnormality!

I check every coin that goes thru my hands.
I'm sure many collectors do.
Found some rotations, but nothing really significant like upset dies.

I found a 180 degree rotation on an 1989 dime a few years ago in a bank roll. Got it graded at PCGS. Unfortunately when they took the pictures for it, it turned out looking like a regular orientation dime. Up Up with a medal turn.
Then I phoned the Charlton Coin book people and asked if they wanted to include it in their book, but they said they would only include it in the book if there were another five or so examples.
Really?
If you look through the book(s) there's plenty of listings for mint errors that say "** Only one known"
Don't understand them on that decision, but anyway here's the coin.

PCGS did the same with my TrueView photos for this 1964 1-cent... not quite 180 degrees, but close enough for me!

As far I as I am concerned, these are errors, and none of them should be in the front part of the Charlton, unless the press operator intentionally (or unintentionally) set them up that way (like the 1982 Constitution Dollar).
