kevink040 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 05/12/2020 11:18 pm ok, so I am a long time coin collector just getting my feet wet in ancients - I realize there is a LOT to learn, but you have to start somewhere right? anyway I believe this coin has the bust of Flavius Victor on the obverse, however I cant seem to exactly identify the reverse - it is about the size of a U.S. dime and appears copper or bronze. any help would be GREATLY appreciated - thanks in advance! Kushanshah Pillar of the Community United States 1554 Posts	Posted 05/12/2020 11:29 pm The emperor is Valens. His name is mostly legible on the obverse: D N VALENS P F AVG. The reverse type seems to be 'Gloria Romanorum', emperor dragging captive. The mint mark below the figures is weak but someone may be able to read it. Welcome to the world of ancient coins!
