2 Feather Variety Check Needed - 1927-S Buffalo Nickel. Please Check!

panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18673 Posts	Posted 05/16/2020 11:41 am photos a little small. looks like weak strike both sides. cheek looks strong as well reverse lettering. hair is separated from face and it looks like good separation of the feather and hair. the foreleg look pretty rounded. I don't think you can just look at the horn on this one. Zurie Pillar of the Community United States 5672 Posts	Posted 05/16/2020 12:51 pm I see a trace of the third feather, so I don't think it would get that designation. I'd say VF-25. Surfaces look a little granular, but maybe that's just the photos. Report this Post to the Staff

I do believe it is a 2 Feather as the PCGS examples marked as 2 Feathers did have some part of the feather but clearly missing the bottom line of the feather. Thanks for all your valuable inputs.
