Second what Jim0815 said. I only keep bicentennial and 2009-2012 quarters (the lower mintages for quarters went until 2012, not sure why you've heard about keeping 2005 though) if they're in MS grade, and even then... meh, probably never gonna be worth much in anything below a 67-68 (which, good luck finding in circulation). Most coin youtubers are just trying to generate views by appealing to people's desire to win the lottery with their pocket change. As such, most of the information is either complete bunk or else presented in a way that's totally disingenuous (e.g. telling you some coin could be worth $10,000 when what they mean is that an MS66 example of a 45 year old variety could be worth that, but the circulated examples you might reasonably find today are perhaps 50-100 bucks). Admittedly, I do occasionally watch some coin roll hunting videos - robfindstreasure is pretty good, and does a good job of not BS-ing his audience to make them think their golden ticket is hiding in a box of quarters.
