Very scarce coin. I'd say VG-8. Is the price 3 digits?

Looks like a nice solid VG condition, decent eye appeal.

That's gorgeous - I don't collect Canadian 50 cent but, given how scarce that particular coin is, that's an outstanding example. I'd be curious to know how much is being asked....can you share?

Nice VG8 may go to 10 Can't tell from pics, may have been cleaned but not unacceptably so.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website

Looks VG-10 to me. Great coin! A bit overpriced in my opinion but they are scarce...

I think $2,100 is around the trend price is it not? I think most of us believe that 'trend' is elevated by around 40% -I would offer something lower - maybe $1,500 as a start and see what happens. With the word of caution being that with the rare birds you often have to pay whatever it takes as demand terns to be higher.

Has a decent look from a distance, but the reverse clearly has a moderate amount of what looks like hairlines under the tone (some of that could be scanner scratching - but not all of it)... plus some crustiness in the obv legend which looks slightly uneven.
Valuable piece - DEMAND some actual photos to see the surfaces better.

I would stay around the $1100 - 1200 mark. If they don't accept your offer be patient and find the right deal. No reason to pay retail pricing for this lower grade (but attractive) coin.

Trends is $2200 for VG-8. This is a key date that you don't see too many problem-free examples. Maybe you can try to negotiate the price down somewhat, but I don't think you'll get a substantial discount.

Try and get I deal, but I wouldn't want to let this one pass.

Pleasing look , once lightly cleaned , market acceptable. Solid VG + ......(10) . If you don't pay close to VG money someone else certainly will. Classic collector coin , seldom encountered with this look. Last year we sold an 1894 and an 1899 similar look , both over trends .
