To CCF! Your coin shows heavy die wear, plus die abrasion as well (polishing of the obverse die face to remove die clash marks and other things). The reverse also shows Split Plate Doubling as well.

The " Ridge Ring" on your cent could be considered a variation on the theme of design-devouring die wear as severe examples can involve the retreat of the die's field down to the level of its deepest recesses. But I'd just as soon stick with Eric Von Klinger's term, since I am generally loathe to discard an existing term unless it has completely outlived its usefulness.
