I've been going through my uncirculated sets and found what I believe is the Spitting Eagle Washington quarter. Unfortunately, this quarter is in pretty rough condition even for an uncirculated coin.
Thanks in advance for your expertise.

to the CCF!

It does look like you coin was struck with clashed dies. The "Spitting Eagle" is just a fancy name used to try to sell coins. Here's a clash overlay of a Washington quarter. You may be able to find other areas of clash on your coin. (Edit: I looked back at your coin and I can see what looks like another clash on the obverse. I see a line pointing up from the bridge of Washington's nose made by the eagle's wing.)

Thank you for the quick response. I used the term,"Spitting Eagle" from NCG's Variety-Plus not realizing it's a die clash. I didn't even notice the one by Washington's nose. This is why I love this forum. I learn something everytime.
