I am new here. My father found this penny with a die break in back across 'OF AMERICA'. I was hoping if anyone can confirm that a 'die break' would be what this is called. and/or any other info/opinions on rarity.

Unfortunately I think it was "cut" with a knife ( PMD post mint damage)
However to CCF and better luck with future finds, have fun....

it looks like a cut from a razor knife or something like that. It's not a die crack or break.

We thought it was a cut at first but it is not indented

I agree as the metal is being pushed upwards, just PMD on a nice toned coin.
