I realize that these are a minor variety and may be boring to look at,being that they are fairly common, but they are cool to me,as I am just starting out.Thanks,H50 Not so much hanging 3 One more, but hardly noticeable: Edited by Huck50 05/26/2020 4:26 pm

Collect what makes you happy. Coins are a history lesson for some or a hobby; others like the uniqueness of the varieties and errors, and some try to make a living with them. Nice find BTW

They have the look of being the result of clashed dies.

Die clashes. With that obverse you can find them in every year from 1953 to 1964. Lots of minor clash variations, even double, and triple clashes. Some years are harder to find than others, but 1961-1963 are the most common.

The hanging numbers are always fun to find even though they are common. I enjoy finding them as well, like SPP-Ottawa stated, they are fairly common from 1953 to 1964 but sometimes you can find them in earlier years like the 1937 I found a few months back shown below. If you look at a lot of 1953's you will also find some really deep hanging 3's from time to time, this one shown here that I found you can catch a fingernail off of it. There is also this 1962 that I also enjoy, you might not be able to see it due to the clarity of the photo, but it is actually a quad hanging 2 (4 clashes) I like your photos and the hanging numbers are very fun to find, I know you are new here but I would also like to add for future reference when you post you should always include the Year, Denomination and origin (Canada,US, Ect) in your title so that others know which coins you are posting and will be able to help you further. Happy hunting
