Greetings all. This ia a fairly nice 1945-D dime. Very bright. Odd textures on Obverse, but nothing I'm concerned with. Kind of that chrome/frosty/blast white mix/look.
But my goal here is a quick question on the placement of the Mint Mark on this
Mercury dime. Never seen a Mint Mark straight up and down, almost twisted in opposite direction of normally being parallel with the "E" in "ONE".
Were these hand stamped? Again, probably a nothing burger, but I just never seen it in this position. Nothing on Variety Vista about it. Maybe someone here has seen it before. Interesting feature.
