Welcome to the forum.

Could that be a damaged "C" instead of a "G" in the second picture?

If so, I suggest the following translations from Latin -

AVE GRA PLE = ave gratia plena
"hail full of grace"

ECCE ANC D = ecce ancilla Domini
"behold the handmaid of the Lord"

referring to Mary mother of Jesus.

If the letter is in fact "G", then perhaps the middle word is "angelus" giving "behold an angel of the Lord".

Yes, I agree it is likely ECCE ANC D, a phrase associated with the Annunciation.

Two possibilities I can think of:
1. a religious medal honoring Mary (both phrases are from the account in Luke of Mary's Annunciation; the second image appears to be Mary)
2. a counter token. A number of these have the AVE MARIA legend on one side. But I am not familiar with one that has images like this both sides.

Thank you both for your reply, I have found the following that is listed as "ITALY STATES ECCE ANG.D. MEDAL / JETON" but I'm not convinced for that.
Anaximander, I think you are right that is "C" and not "G"
