Hello,

How can I tell if it really is PVC? The coins are in airtite containers, I know that doesn't mean anything but it may also just be a bad scan. The coins look perfect in person. I'll double check for that discoloration on the coin itself.

Thanks,
Rich

Nice coins!

What I see on the Constitution coin is the "frost" that I often see on the Eisenhower silver proofs. I also see what looks like two "stains" on the coin or plastic, not sure what that is though.

If it looks fine in person, then it may be just the picture.

Hello,

I checked the constitution Silver Dollar and the "stain" is on the coin. To me it looks as if someone got a huge fingerprint on the coin. I had to pull the coin out of the air-tite container to see this and having the coin outside the air-tite container bothered me so I don't think I'll ever do that again. At least I know what to look for in the future.

The Constitution Dollar appears to have some haze. If the OP does not care for it, he can try a quick dip in Jeweluster or MS-70.
