Hello . I have a question hoping someone can give me the right answer. Ok so I saw on a website that an 1889CC Morgan dollar is worth $881,250. I am just recently shopping for coins to invest in so I'm also wondering if anyone has any advice on how to spot a fake (there are more out there than you know). I have actually bought one once , good thing it wasn't too expensive but I'm planing on spending a little more money this time so any advice w/that would be also much appreciative. Thanx

A certified MS68 could go for that. If you're just starting out, you might want to start out a little slower. The best way to avoid fakes is to buy certified coins, especially at the higher grades. Also, get a good reference book.

Stick to PCGS, NGC and ANACS slabbed coins. If buying on ebay, check the seller
feedback. if less than 98% I would not buy from them. Also see where the seller
is located. China or Hong Kong are red flags...
