Hello, forgive my ignorance however I am new to the Coin World. I have a pristine 1884 O MS 65, graded by NGC. If Coin World says that it is worth $200 full retail, how much can I expect to sell it for? I have included a couple of photos. Thank you very much. Image: coin1.jpg84.45 KB Image: coin2.jpg88.38 KB

Hi cjd .... Current Greysheet pricing on your coin is $155 bid and $165 ask. I would say most dealers would be willing to pay around $140 for your coin. That leaves them around 10% markup if selling it wholesale to another dealer. Just an old time dealers opinion. And again..... to the board.

Hi, thank you very much for your reply. There is a person who wants to buy it at $100. Do you think that's a decent offer?
Thank you.

I think you can get more for it, hang out on here for a little while till you have 50 posts then put it up for sale. Or maybe you will put up a WTB post because you now want to complete the set

cjd: I think that $100 is a bit low, altho I would be glad to pay it. Hold out for more. And, welcome to the forum.

cjd, $100 is not a fair offer. If you don't need the money hold on until you have 50 posts here. You will do better.

What is meant by the "50 posts" remark is that after making 50 significant postings and being a member for 14 days, you can post "Buy/sell/trade" ads in the forum sections for such. The number of posts is under your name. It goes fast. I also agree that the offered price is too low. If need is immediate, you may have to use ebay or a local sell, otherwise read the threads and any knowledge gained will aid you in the future dealing. Welcome to the Forum Jim
