I was wondering if this is maybe a split planchet? I thought it might be but I believe the weight of it should be less? This weighs 4.9 grams, so is it just some type of PMD or possibly something else?
Thanks so much, my son just moved back from college today and said he found it in the couch

Very post strike damage. Looks like it spent a little time on Interstate 80. Environmental damage (stain-like on the obverse) could have come from stale food buried under the sofa cushions.

That's exactly what we said, someone scraped it up really good, but I figured never hurts to ask since I'm really new to this.
