PCGS - The cover coin for the July/August issue of the PCGS Rare Coin Market Report is this 1855 Kellogg $50 Gold Coin, graded PCGS PR64CAM. While there are valuable restrikes, nothing compares to the originals, of which on 14 are known today. Sold in a private transaction for a reported $1 million earlier this year, this piece also holds the auction record, selling for $763,750 in 2014, breaking its own record from 2007 of $747,500.
